Laser drilling is the process of creating a thru-hole by pulsing laser energy at a focused area. The process is fast and precise, with thru-holes produced in milliseconds with diameters as small as .004”, producing little or no debris.

Both small and large holes are possible, and one of three methods of laser drilling will be used. Depending on the size of the holes and the volume required to complete the project, pulsing, boring heads, and trapanning solutions are all available.

Very precise holes can be drilled in a wide range of material types and thicknesses and in what would often be difficult locations using mechanical means. The laser drilling system also eliminates the need for tooling set-ups and downtime due to punch breakage.
